Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information ClipToScript (cliptoscript.com) collects, why, who processes it, and how long it is kept. ClipToScript is operated by Sahila Gupta, who is responsible for your personal data ("we", "us").

1. What we collect and why

Data	Why we use it
Video links you submit, and video files you upload	To fetch and analyse that video. We extract its audio for transcription and still frames for reading on-screen text and visuals.
The post caption (fetched from the post, or pasted by you)	To break down the caption alongside the video.
Results: transcript, on-screen text, visual descriptions, Hook / Body / CTA, angle ideas and remixes	To show you your result, and for Pro users, to save it in your research library.
Topics or angles you type	To write remixes for your niche.
Account details: email address, and your name and profile photo if you sign in with Google	To create your account, log you in and link your library and plan to you. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase; we never see them.
Plan and usage counts (for example, videos used this month and remixes per video)	To apply the free and Pro limits.
IP address	To apply the free-tier daily limit when you are not logged in, and to protect the service from abuse.
Billing details	Collected and handled by Dodo Payments, our reseller. We never see or store your full card details. We receive your subscription status and the email used to buy.
Messages you send us	To answer support and refund requests.

2. What we don't do

We don't sell your personal data.
We don't show ads or use advertising or tracking cookies.
We don't use your videos, results or topics to train AI models.
We don't give you or anyone else copies of the videos you analyse.

3. Services that process data for us

We use these providers only to run ClipToScript. Each processes data under its own privacy terms.

Groq: transcribes the audio of the video.
Anthropic (Claude): analyses the transcript, video frames and caption, and writes angle ideas and remixes.
Google Firebase: handles sign-in and stores accounts, plans, usage counts and Pro research libraries.
Railway: hosts the server that downloads and processes videos.
Hostinger: hosts the cliptoscript.com website.
Dodo Payments: our Merchant of Record, which processes payments, invoices, tax and refunds.
Zoho Mail: our support email.
Google Fonts and cdnjs: deliver the fonts and a PDF library used on the site, which means your browser connects to them when pages load.

When you submit a link, our server requests that public video from the platform hosting it (Instagram, TikTok or YouTube). Some of these providers are based outside your country, including in the United States, so your data may be processed there.

4. How long we keep data

Downloaded and uploaded videos, their audio and frames are kept only while your analysis is open, so you can switch the reading mode, and are deleted automatically, normally within 20 minutes.
Free-tier results are not saved to any account. They stay in your browser until you leave the page.
Pro library items are kept until you delete them or ask us to delete your account.
Accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Free-tier usage counts by IP address are kept only for the current day.
Server logs, which can include the links that failed to process, are kept for a short time to fix errors.
Billing records are kept by Dodo Payments for as long as the law requires.

5. Data stored in your browser

We don't use tracking cookies. Your browser stores a small amount of data so the site works: your light or dark theme choice, and, if you sign in, the login session that Google Firebase keeps so you stay logged in.

6. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Each user can only access their own account and library, and plan and usage records can only be changed by our server. No method is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

7. Your rights

You can delete items from your library at any time. You can also ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to delete your account, by emailing support@cliptoscript.com. Depending on where you live, laws such as Oman's Personal Data Protection Law or the EU/UK GDPR may give you further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

ClipToScript is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to buy a subscription.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be shown here with a new date, and significant changes will be emailed to subscribers.
